Second only to the Gold Coast for big old houses (with more Victorians), but many were divided up to accommodate Naval personnel during WWII and remain rental units today. Quite a bit of restoration is taking place to reflect and preserve the original character of the property, and in many cases, to revert back to single family dwellings.
