Alameda Point - This one-time Naval Air Station is undergoing huge changes.
Former military facilities are being leased to a variety of commercial/industrial
enterprises, hundreds of new homes are on the drawing board, environmental clean
up is under way, a wildlife sanctuary is being preserved, and we've got some land
left that could be a private air strip, a golf course, or who knows what? The
development of this area is having a profoundly positive effect on the whole city.
